A Good Night’s Sleep

April 10, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

“Fatigue makes cowards of us all.” Vince Lombardi

Working with  student teachers as they dig deep for stamina to keep going every day when what happens in class depends on them showing up in every way–on time, with energy and a plan.

One thing they learn is how to organize their routines in the evening and in the morning to get as much sleep as they can manage.

I tell them when they start how much they will value a good night’s sleep. They laugh. It seems so simple.  Yet it is key to the strength to maintain your stand for what you believe is good for your students.
