Acceptance

July 14, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

When I complained about something in work or life to my friend, Helena Wu, she would say to me, “What do you think this is? Heaven?”

She reminded me to stop wasting time bemoaning how things were different than how I wanted them to be and deal with how things actually were.

I would like to start the  new school year with acceptance of the current state–work from there as a base to start moving in the direction of the heaven picture I probably will always hold as my ideal for children growing up in our communities.
