Faith through hard times

March 17, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

Wisdom from the Irish who know what it means to find ways to persevere through hard times.

He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.

Faith implies belief not necessarily based on proof. Against evidence to the contrary, can I sustain belief that we can prevail in our efforts to do the best for every child in our school system? How and where can I sustain that faith when I’m weary?

I sustain faith in  the good hearts of children and adults in school buildings. I keep faith in them and their possibility.
