In the face of hatred and suffering

June 20, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

I tell myself: Turn toward providing solace, ongoing dialogue, action for the well being of all. The only chance I see for us in these times is to stay on it—-let yourself be distracted only temporarily as you need a break but come back to it with renewed determination. Give each other hope in numbers who understand and also act. Don’t turn away from the pain and the conflict and the fear in powerlessness.

To quote ee. cummings: i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
