Questions after Spring Valley

October 28, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

I would imagine that anyone of us who works in school buildings has these questions somewhere in our minds and hearts after watching the video of a School Resource Officer slamming a girl to the floor and dragging her and her desk. I wonder if we need to be ready and prepared to know ourselves and what  action to take.

What would you do if a School Resource Officer threw a student to the floor in your classroom?

Would I be able to live with myself if I didn’t do something? What would be an effective action?

What would I do with my students after witnessing  this assault?
