I have heard so many stories from people of something a teacher said that changed self- perception and expectation–sometimes opening possibilities and sometimes closing possibilities.
Just something to keep in mind when we work with students of any age. We never know when what we say will have an impact. I assume we want to always be opening our students’ pictures of their possibilities.
