June 26, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

“It is better to love than to hate.” John Lewis on this date when the Supreme Court declared marriage between two people of the same gender legal across this country, the day after they declared subsidies for health care legal, the same week Congress passed Trans Pacific Partnership, a shooter killed 9 people in a church, 2 churches burned by arsonists, Obama shuts down a trans person at an LGBT celebration……so much going on to bemoan, celebrate and mourn, yet these are the words from a veteran of the civil rights movement that we might keep in our hearts and minds. Always. It is better to love than to hate.
