Staying engaged

March 5, 2015 / Marjorie Larner / What We Can Do

Gathering thoughts from teachers about what they’re still doing that they believe is good for kids in spite of constraints and mandates that eat into time and purpose and what is keeping them engaged and alive in their job–and not quitting.

Not surprisingly I’m finding common themes across content areas. I will be sharing their specific ideas in the days to come but want to share categories that may help others think about their own practice that is still good for kids.

Here are the categories for staying engaged:

Colleagues’ support and collaboration, content is a passionate interest, kids learning and growing……and continual professional learning and growth.

Do you have opportunities for any or all of these general categories in your work?
